Client: A cooking studio company - confidential project based contract
Executive Summary: This project addressed the need to help franchises create more engaging learning experiences for its customers by training the trainers. By focusing on effective lesson delivery that maximized engagement, the aim was to boost customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business to help reverse stagnating and dipping sales at some locations.
Challenge: My research indicated that although customers were satisfied, many weren’t excited enough about their experiences to register for additional classes. Observations revealed that many trainers lacked the skills necessary to deliver engaging, interactive experiences, which are essential for hands-on learning like cooking. Inadequate classroom management strategies further hampered the customer experience, preventing active participation and excitement among clients. Without addressing these issues, franchises risked losing customers and revenue, underscoring the need for a training program for its trainers.
The instructional design challenge was to create an eLearning course that could be scaled to franchises located across the country. The course had to address how to increase client engagement and customer satisfaction while being supportive of both new and existing trainers.
Solution: To address these challenges, I developed an interactive eLearning course using the ADDIE framework and Merrill's Principles of Instruction. The course effectively teaches trainers the essential steps for delivering engaging lessons using real-world scenarios and applications. The solution is flexible enough to accommodate different franchise locations, timetables, and diverse trainer backgrounds with varying levels of experience. My eLearning course provided the necessary flexibility and consistent training across franchises to meet a wide range of needs while ensuring improvement in lesson delivery across the brand.
Results: Implementation of this course will help franchise trainers master the art and science of delivering engaging lessons. By effectively increasing client engagement, this course will help improve customer satisfaction, boost repeat business, and increase revenue.

Challenge: Given a voice-over, I had to create a short, animated video that incorporated sensible video enhancements, including transitions, camera movement, character actions, motion paths, music, sound effects, intro and outro.
Solution: A video that captures viewers' attention and uses good video production practices, such as keeping each scene between 4 - 8 seconds, that highlights the flexibility and benefits of the IDOL Courses Academy program.
